Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy
File Matrix operates a software discovery and download platform. We respect the intellectual property rights of software developers, creators, and publishers. We expect our users and contributors to do the same.
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. ยง 512), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement that are properly reported to our Designated Copyright Agent.
1. Notice of Copyright Infringement (Takedown Request)
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, please report alleged infringements by submitting a written DMCA Notice containing the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., the specific software name, edition, or developer profile).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, including the exact URLs/links to the specific download or category pages.
- Your contact information, including your mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement of good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement of accuracy, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

3. Counter-Notification Process
If a download link or file you contributed was removed by mistake or due to misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notification to our Designated Agent. This must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its original URL location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or any district where the service provider may be found if outside the US), and that you will accept service of process from the original claimant.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
We maintain a strict policy regarding the integrity of our library. If any user, contributor, or external uploader repeatedly uploads unauthorized or malicious files, their access, account, and publishing privileges will be permanently terminated.
